For Babies

Is your baby having difficulties with sleep, breastfeeding, restlessness or irritability? Craniosacral Massage can often help with such conditions.

Newborns frequently respond quickly and effectively to Craniosacral treatment, especially for conditions like colic, breastfeeding difficulties and sleeplessness. Through gentle encouragement babies can release the stresses and trauma of the birth process allowing them to become more relaxed and comfortable in their bodies.

Many babies experience difficulties through the use of vacuum extraction, forceps delivery or Caesarean. Every type of birth has its own compressive patterns on a baby's body, particularly the baby's head, and Craniosacral Massage can go a long way to easing these patterns through the therapist's light touch massage and receptive listening.

For Mothers-to-be

Craniosacral work can also be extremely helpful for mothers during pregnancy. Touch is truly vital to the mother's psychological, physiological and spiritual wellbeing as she adapts to the experience and demands of pregnancy and new motherhood.

Craniosacral Massage relieves the effects of daily stress and the residual body-memories of past emotional and physical trauma. This helps the mother-to-be and the baby prepare for the birth together. Craniosacral Massage's gently improve mobility in the mother’s pelvis so her baby can more easily assume an ideal position for birth. This can promote a timely, easier birth for mom and baby.
