As a rsult of many studies, pregnant women have evidence that weekly acupuncture treatment in the four weeks prior to birth reduces the liklihood of induction and increases the chance of healthy vaginal births. Acupuncture treats for any imbalances in the organ systems according to Chinese medicine, as well as help the baby to engage if need be, starts to ripen the cervix, relax muscles and tendons and calm the mind and spirit.

MassHealth Discounts and Insurance Reimbursment
Are you currently on MassHealth? If you present your MassHealth card to us when registering for a class you will receive 20% off the registration fee. This is true for Cradle sponsored classes only. This discount does not apply to workshops unless noted. Classes sponsored by individuals or groups outside of Cradle are not included in this offer. Cradle maintains a scholarship fund made possible through a portion of our retail sales. Please contact katie@cradlefamily.com for more information.
If your insurance reimburses for childbirth and parenting education, we are happy to provide you with a receipt and a certificate of completion at the end of the class. You can then submit these directly to your insurance company. The majority of insurance providers, including MassHealth, will reimburse anywhere from $80 - $250 worth of childbirth and parenting education classes. This include our Welcome Baby Natural Childbirth class, Breastfeeding Basics, Newborn Essentials, and under some circumstances, our Partner Massage for Labor and Birth and Gentle Movement for Labor and Birth classes. Cradle cannot, however, guarantee that your insurance will reimburse you.
